Selena Gomez 

Gomez was born on July 22, 1992. An only child, he grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. Her mother was an actress, and Gomez wanted to follow in her footsteps. His grandmother's father helped to encourage him, and he entered the passage when he was a child.


Gomez prepares for her own performance of her mother and likes to dream of being like her. Her big break as an actress came when she was seven years old and was cast on Barney and Friends, where she filled in for her best friend Demi Lovato. This was his first acting role. Selene played Barney and Friends Gianna for two times. She had some other acting roles as a child, but her big break wouldn't come until later.

Selena was discovered by Disney in a worldwide casting search in 2004 and played a pop star on the hit stage show, Hannah Montana, before starring in her own series, she had guest roles on two popular Disney shows, The Sweet Life of Jack and Koda and Wizards of Waverly Place. Wizards of Waverly Place, starring Selene as lead character Alex Rosso, premiered on Disney Channel in October.

He performed the theme song and other music from Wizards of Waverly Place, and he covered the hit Disney song, "Cruella de Vil".

In recent years, she's become a pop star in her own right outside of Disney Square. He has toured the US to promote his songs, and his albums have been huge top 40 hits.

Although Gomez began her acting career, her main focus was on the music industry. Her music has influences from pop, hip-hop and electronic rock. She says she is influenced by pop icons like Rihanna and Christina Aguilera.

He is involved in a number of brand campaigns. She represents Pantene shampoo and conditioner, Coca-Cola products, Adidas and Coach handbags.

Since Gomez stepped into the spotlight, she has worked hard to give back to the community. While filming Wizards of Waverly Place, Gomez became involved with Island Dogs, an organization dedicated to helping dogs in Puerto Rico.

In Puerto Rico, there is an animal crisis, where thousands of homeless dogs roam the streets and starve. Because shelters are not common, they often go hungry. Gomez helps raise money for the organization and is an ambassador for the program.

He is also a spokesperson for UNICEF, organizing a benefit concert for the organization. He was particularly involved in projects that aided Chile.
