Joseph Stalin or Iosif Vissarionovich Stalin is the ruler of Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) from the year 1929 to 1953. With the help of Stalin, the Soviet Union was transformed from a poor social status to industrial and military super power. On Stalin rule, he has made many changes to the union and he has replaced the new economic policy that was previously introduced by Lenin during 1920. He is one of the most powerful dictators in our history. He handled a war machine which played a vital role in defeat of Nazism. Stalin is also generally credited with destroying the concept of communal socialism and with "stealing the revolution".

 He is born on 18th December 1879 in Gori, Georgia. On that time the Georgia is the part of the Russian empire. Stalin father was a cobbler and Stalin lives in self-effacing conditions after his left completely alone. Further he studied at theological seminary; it is the place where he stated learning Marxist literature. He doesn’t have his graduation; instead he devoted his time on revolutionary movement against the Russian kingdom. For the next fifteen years he spent his life on activist and because of that he was arrested by Siberia on number of occasions. 

He was a good planner and during November 1917 Revolution was small. But the skills he gained while revolution helps in the Bolshevik Party was to prove invaluable. His rule is infamous for his use of police terror and the frequent mass murders of his own people. During 1922, Stalin was made general secretary of the communist party. In 1924, Lenin has died, to continue the communist party; Stalin has promoted himself as a political heir and he was effectively become the dictator of the Soviet Union. He forced collectivization of the agriculture which helps millions of people’s life and he also introduced rapid industrialization which made great impact on increasing the soviet productivity and economic growth but all these are done with greater cost. Stalin planned and ill prepared for Hitler’s attack on the Soviet Union during June 1941. But using his political future, Stalin has recovered his country to victory. After the Second World War, the Soviet Union has ruled over an empire which includes Eastern Europe. Afterward, he engaged in an increasingly tense relationship with the West known as Cold War he died of a massive heart attack on March 5, 1953. And after his death, the Soviets initiate a de-Stalinization process.
